Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department were dispatched to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, where there was a report of several white men who had just robbed a Hispanic man at gunpoint.
According to police, the officers responded to the parking lot of the church, where they found the alleged victim, who did not speak any English, leading them to call in a Spanish-speaking officer, while others canvassed the area for the suspects.
Police said that investigation into the incident determined that two men, described as being 20 years old wearing turquoise or green hoodies, allegedly brandishing a silver revolver. They then allegedly fled east on Boulevard, toward the New Rochelle border.
A canvas consisting of members of the Eastchester, New Rochelle and Scarsdale Police Department in the area failed to turn up any suspects. The incident remains under investigation.
